This is no 'new' project, although it's a new track. Seymour/van Hoen have
already produced one eerie album called 'Aurobindo' on the Ash label. Available
at all good record shops on cd and vinyl :-)
I've made a start with writing reviews on what I got yesterday, but as you can
see from the list it would take me some time to do it properly.

>Scala - Lips & heaven (Too Pure PURE CD57)
Composed by Fletcher/Peacock/Seymour/van Hoen ... can't go wrong. It's dark,
it's beautiful. The delicate voice of Sarah blends very well with the sometimes
harsh sounds remeniscent of earlier Locust work (comparable to 'Penetration' on
'Truth is made of Arguments) and the (imho) generally more cheery Seefeel
sound. The lyrics are full of pain. Life is tragic ...
I already had the 7" which contains 2 tracks that are also on the single cd.
(leap of thought) So what's the hold up with My Bloody Valentine?

I don't know what to make of this yet. I guess I'll have to slap it on a few
more times before I 'get' it. If I ever do ... This sixties revival stuff
doesn't do much for me.

Another must-have for the eternally depressed. Contributions by Disjecta
(excellent track 'Vistic'), Zurich, Being and GESCOM 'Bronchusix' (the most
awesomely frightening DARKEST Gescom I've ever heard) ... definitely worth the
long wait (I've had this on order since last year)

Locust addict as I am, I bought this for the Seymour/van Hoen collaboration:
'Tema', but in addition I'm well pleased with the whole 12". Strange haunting
melodies. Captivating. Particularly impressed by Ronny & Clyde, and Bedouin
Ascent which were new to me.

Only played once, so no comment yet, apart from saying that it's loud. In part
it reminds me of the Universal Indicator Series ...

>In Order to Dance 6 - session one - drum-n-bass (R&S)
Due to the prohibitive price of the vinyl boxed set, I settled for the 2 CD
edition. Some very good drum-n-bass on this compilation.
But hey, I'm sure you all know why I bought it: the Locust track, which is an
absolute killer, even with a woman singing all through his music. After hearing
it in the shop, I became overwhelmed. I must have played it too many times
already ...
Later, I saw an R&S advert announcing Locust's 'no-one in the world', although
it wasn't clear whether it's an album or single .. I'll have to go and look for
that one now.
Maybe that explains why I haven't even played these yet:
