I have a mixtape from circa 91-92 of mostly UR stuff. It has a track which
begins with this long intro about Saturn's moons with this cool echo effect.
I think the dialog is from a NASA video, but I don't know the track name and
catalogue # etc.
this ring a bell with anyone?

This is from UR-019.5. It's an X-102 project, which usually denotes the
collaborative work of Mike Banks, Jeff Mills, and Rob Hood. The 12" has
three tracks but I belive the album _X-102 Explores The Rings Of
Saturn_ (released on Tresor) has them all. Cool track, BTW...great for
intro-ing a set. :)

It's nice to have both the vinyl & CD in this case --
the EP is one of those NSC mastering classics -- the tracks
are laid out on the vinyl to physically resemble
the rings of Saturn. There's inside-out tracks,
locked grooves, weird etchings, short tracks
that are spread across wide expanses of blank
vinyl, etc.-- the works. A truly cool physical artifact
of a record.

eeep! that must be the ur version then - the tresor version has spaces
between tracks and locked grooves, but none of the other gimmicks...? :-(

This track isn't on my copy of the CD... as far as I know, only the A-side,
"Ground Zero", is on the CD; the other two, "OBX-A" (Oberheim!) and the
spoken one about the moons are only on the 12".
Now that UR has come up: does anyone know what records UR 014 & 015 are?
