Preparing to move so i did come along some gems I didn't recall having but more info would be appreciated (especially discograpy) of Christian Marclay (I only have a track on the Plow '84 compilation) Plastics: I have this copy of "copy robot" 7" which was released on Rough Trade in '81... They are Japanese for sure and sound like a cheerfeel Solvent with lots of Kraftwerk tingly tongs. Does anyone knows more about them???

The Plastics. I can't tell you much except that I think I had everything they released (or that I knew about) - which was 4 lps somwhere between 1979 and 1982. Yes, they were Japanese and more light/playful than most of the other J-pop I was collecting then (e.g, Melon, Ippu Do, Masami Tsuchiya, YMO, etc). A lot of what I listen to from Japan had that sort-of "lightness" to it, but The Plastics were more that way than anything else I remember. It's another one of those "I wish I'd never dumped my vinyl" moments. Wouldn't mind finding the old Melon stuff, either. jeff Johan LOONES wrote:
