So what's the deal with these CDs that give you a long gap of silence, followed by one last "bonus" song? 3 recent purchases, the 2 Mouse on Mars and that fabulous T-Power release do this. Am I the only one who throws 5 CDs in the changer for continous sonic bliss only to get bummed out by these multiminute gaps? The gaps aren't even indexed so you can't skip them without missing the final song. Am I missing something "intelligent" here? Grrr. (hey Jon, Eat Static live at the Sound Factory! :) Lee ___________________________________________________________________________ lxfogel@pacbell.com ( ( ( ( ((0)) ) ) ) ) lee@hyperreal.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

No, they're awful and usually pretty stupid and meaningless.

No. It's a stupid old trick. Worse, where CDs are concerned I think who started it was Front 242. It's kind of embarassing to see people like Pete Namlook and Richie Hawtin resorting to this. It's okay for Mouse on mars though because they're crap anyway. :) And Current 93 use it for a nice effect now and then...but those are the kinds of records than when they're over, they're OVER, and you don't necessarily throw on another record immediately any more than you would throw in another videotape after watching a movie. For dance and ambient music where a changer is good to have, it's really annoying. einexile
