.May has fucked things big style with the Transmat label. Repressing here, there .and everywhere and R&S + Transmat is not Transmat. .I am saddened. I would have to say that he has a good point in claiming that it is more legitamite to rerelease material like BFC and Octaves One, on the basis that it is still superior to 99% of the wish-wash that people try and pass for techno.. Anyways, from all accounts, the new Fragile (Fragile=Transmat) material is supposed to be wonderful.. I had the pleasure of seeing Stacey Pullen perform a couple of years back, and the man's got soul.. Bill Evans was famous for waiting as much as two to three years between releases, because he simply "didn't have anything particularly different to say." Did Derrick forsee the stagnation of techno music, years before it happened!? hmmm.. :) On now: The guy on the hall phone outside my door..
