I myself was disappointed with this comp; but that's because I was looking
forward to something harder (tough luck on a domestic comp, I suppose) --
somewhere along the lines of Omar Santana (dark side of the shroom ep),
full of hardcore hip-hop percussions/samples, some tougher efx/acid
lines (I liked how he reworked the efx from Prodigy's `Poison'), or
Chemical Brothers (Dust Brothers = Chem Bros on lightcore?), etc... I
only bothered to really listen to the Tranquility Bass track (yeah,
where was I?) I'd give it a 5/10.
Anybody have some recent tr*p-h*p / electro reviews?
Some of my recent purchases: Aneosis `Blood & Sweat in London' Magnetic
North's `Elements of Phunkee Noize Sampler' (or something like), X-911
`Les Champs Magnetique' -- Ask me if you'd like a review of any of these.
