Note to ambient people : Sorry for the cross-post... But I'm really wanting this stuff ;) Hello ! I would like to know if anyone knows if there is any way ( tape/video/net ) where I can find the soundtrack of the launch sequence of Apollo XI as used in the Orb and Banco the Gaia ( yes, _that_ brilliant tracks ). Is it available somewhere ? Many thanks, Marc.

pretty much all the astronaut stuff you hear is taken directly from the film "For All Mankind", directed by Al Reinart. It's really quite an awesome film, actually, with music by Brian Eno among others. Voyager makes a deluxe laserdisc version of it and I think it's also available on regular videotape. -- Name: Jon Email: jsd@cyborganic.com Web: http://www.cyborganic.com/People/jsd

At your favorite thrift store. I found a 12" of the whole Apollo XII mission with minimal narration. One of my favorite things to mix in. Behlendorf found a box set of four records that documented the whole space experience. I checked it out from the library and found that it wasn't as "dense" with the good stuff as what I had on mine, however, it did have some really nice Soviet stuff too. I think he found it at a thrift as well. Another good one is the CD ROM of "For All Mankind". Pete "First in line for Apollo XIII"
