I apologize for posting this topically un-related message, but I thought I might reach some people who could be of help. I'm looking for some information as to where (or from whom) I can purchase 2 Technics SL-1200 turntables. They must be in excellent condition and cost considerably less than what I could expect to pay at a retail dealer (otherwise I wouldn't bother posting ;)). I'm also looking for a mixer and cartridges. Both Soundcraftsman/MTX and Numark mixers have been recommended, as well as Ortofon Concorde cartridges. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Darshan

In my experience Ortofon did tend to put out a higher level output but never lasted as long as Stanton cartridges. As far as Mixers go the classic club mixer is a Urei but most unexperienced DJ's don't like not having a cross fader. The next best by far is a Rane.
