If you're speaking of Planet Earth the record label (Doc Martin's thing...) I think I know the reason why. Think of a very respectable label hailing from Detroit since 1990 or so called Planet E Communications... Carl, once he found out about it, was not happy. todd -- todd sines --------------------------------------------------------------------------- tsines@cgrg.ohio-state.edu sines.3@osu.edu sines@zn.com sines@hyperreal.com .xtrak * ARS * ELE MENT * Enhanced * ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ummm...suffice it to say that Planet E was not instrumental in Planet Earth's downfall. Tamara Palmer * trance@netcom.com * izzypk3@mvs.oac.ucla.edu .........................................................Women Respond to Bass

Well, sorry that I was wrong, but when Carl found out about it, he wasn't happy and that the last I heard is that he was talking to his lawyers about it... todd -- todd sines --------------------------------------------------------------------------- tsines@cgrg.ohio-state.edu sines.3@osu.edu sines@zn.com sines@hyperreal.com .xtrak * ARS * ELE MENT * Enhanced * ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ouch. So what becomes of all that Recycle or Die stuff they were supposed to be releasing state-side? Might wanna search for that RoD comp on Planet Earth if you don't have it already... maybe. they folded because when they bought out the back ctalog of moonshine they inherted their returns. when music doesn't sell it get's returned to the label (at a loss). this is an ardous process (i should know: right dietrich?). From what i hear that is what killed them. the funny part is that Moonshine has a comp at #55 in cmj's 150 and have lost that 'returns' albatros. pretty fuckin' smooth for moonshine. i just feel bad for dave parker. dan..... --- email : dkapus41@maine.maine.edu (that's right, maine.) web : http://www.umf.maine.edu/wumf (under construction)
