are there any famous idm artists? i think 'well known'
might be a better desription. i'm pretty sure all the
folks who've ever heard of even the most 'famous'
'idm' artist don't make a noticeable dent in the world
population. i'd rather it weren't like that, but, i
think, if you're into 'idm', you really are 1 in a
million. don't let the fact that many of us have found
each other online fool you into thinking that more
than us few are aware of this genre, let alone an
individual artist. in some cases, you can fault a
label for only making enough of a release(s) for a
trillionth of the population. plus, it's kinda
retarded to ignore non-djs by refusing to put anything
out cd, or by not making sure it gets into more than 3
shops. many labels & artists in this genre have done
alot toward keeping themselves from fame. this may
sound a bit negative, but since i don't give an
incredible fuck, it's really not. it just frustrates
me a little that 100 out of 100 people have heard of
garth brooks, but 0.00000000001 out of 100 have heard
of Ae. peace
