I agree that the Musik album has been way overrated. It has about 3 good tracks. The rest is pretty much crap. However not all he does is bad. I enjoy about 3/4 of the Fuse album...some excellent material on this....but didn't like the Sheet One album.. Definately NOT one of the top 50 techno albums of all time...(IMHO)..Fuse is much better. xdadax

I just wish all y'all would've spoken up when everyone else was proclaiming Musik's brilliance a couple of weeks ago. Granted, what one listener calls brilliant is another's opinion of crap. Has the album just failed repeated listens? Hopefully I can cancel my order in favor of some Drexciya. Peace in the New Year, 19.

I have no idea what everyone is complaining about. I thought it was a terrific album. Deceptively simple. Kind of like the way Energy Flash (Joey B) and the Fuse F.U tracks were. And it has not failed repeated listenings in my bedroom, airwaves or dancefloor. Whats wrong with minimal drum programming and no instrumentation? What does a songs mixability have to do with its worth as a good/bad record? If you were to use that arguement, then you'd probably think that every single Kraftwerk and Orbital track ever put out was shit, cause I can mix it with eyes blind-folded and hands tied. Anyways, I understand that's your honest opinion about the Musik and I can respect that. : ) sashainboston sashainboston sasha@tiac.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ In the beginning, there was Jack And Jack had a grooove, And from this groove came the grooves of all grooves, And while one day, viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldly declared, "this is really good ham". -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keep in mind that not only musical tastes relative, but also that Jon Drukman is a Grumpy Guy (tm). He hates lots of stuff I love, but the stuff he goes thumbs up for is usually Godlike. -- Kent Williams kent@cadsi.com "Swirling a sound [in Quadrophonic Space] at an audio rate produces interesting spatial and modulative effects" -- Serge Modular Product Spec Sheet.
