I saw some talk of ambient video techniques and just had to jump in and get off the idm discussion for a sec- I am trying to do some hypnotic video myself and was wondering if there was a list for video makers to trade ideas. Also, does anybody out there know what cool toy that is that does the fruitopia ads and the tripped out split-screen effect on the Orb video? I'd like to follow up this thread a bit by asking if there is a listserv where people talk about syncing lasers to video, control voltages, midi, etc -- or if anyone can tell me where I might browse thru such info on the net... Where people talk about aiming lasers at their speaker cones, etc. Context: I slipped my 606 into a place a friend was dj'ing at and synced the "1 volt" input to the output of my 606 and got some interesting results. I would like to incorporate a laser into my programming possibly.
