Wise words from the handiest of them all. As most of you know, I've been working on a CD project with the IDM mailing list entitled "Threads" Currently we are voting on track submissions, and Id appreciate if you could contribute if you have the time. The files are accesible by http and ftp, and all the relevant details are included below. Thanks. [begin message] Ok folks, we're all set. There are currently 32 samples of track submissions ready to be downloaded, and one or two more maybe added within the next week. This shouldnt be a problem however, since I imagine it will take a while for you to download them, listen to them, make some choices, and let me know which ones you like. The sound files are at hyperreal.com and are located in /incoming/threads/sounds. I have made the directory unreadable again so that the files aren't accessible to people not involved in the project, but they are still accesible if you know the filenames. Currently, the file names are: thr001.wav, thr002.wav , thr003.wav ---> up to thr032.wav As you can see, all the files are currently in .wav format. Again, the samples are mono, 8-bit, and 22kHz. They are also accesible by the Threads WWW page, http://hyperreal.com/~fluid/threads.html. I think the best way to vote on these would be to send me a top 10 list once you've given them all a good listen. If you have any problems or questions, feel free to write to me here. :: Alan M.
