Maybe the problem is auditioning the stuff. I don't have direct access to Internet much less access to sound reproduction over it and maybe that accounts for quite a few people. I'm really not in a position to hear the stuff. Rather than a rabid Aphex Twin fan make all the decisions :), perhaps a few volunteers on IDM could be given tapes and a bit more of a collective decision made. I'd be reasonably happy with that, knowing that at least a few people had listened to it. This all takes time I know, but the best music is timeless, yes? If it's not possible then, yes, go ahead and pick the best stuff yourself. The Analogue Heaven comps are done like that.
