I believe this refers to the initial round of promos Sony Germany sent out, which carried no songwriting credits. These were being sold at retail without royalty compensation to the songwriters, which is, as far as I know (IANAL) illegal, and is, in fact (once again, IANAL) copyright infringement. The substance of the post, though, is that there will be a (hopefully) widely distributed, _legitimate_ (both legally and morally) CD release of the _real_ "Knights of the Jaguar" single, along with some additional big-name remixes on record store shelves next to the piece of shit BMG distributes. The reason I forwarded the post along was so that consumers would be aware of this and hopefully do the right thing when they encounter the cheesy knockoff on the shelves at their local shops. -d.w. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
