perlon is a great label -- out of Koln, i think -- affiliated with the
mad-net.de people... their style is really unto its own -- it's severely
stripped-down minimal house and techno, but with an odd kind of funk, a
weird quality of breath, that no one else in that scene has. it's a little
like brinkmann's soul center, i suppose, in a way. perlon 14 is a killer,
that's the most recent one i've picked up. fans of brinkmann, matt herbert,
kompakt, etc. should enjoy this stuff.
