so even though i still love CDs as an album format, i recognize some
things are only available as vinyl or download. given that choice,
i'll go for a download. i can always do a compilation or a mix myself
later :)
so i got myself a beatport account, and have been trawling through
looking for stuff. it's a cool interface but of course somewhat time-
consuming.
so, i'm looking for dubstep recommendations.
bear in mind my introduction to dubstep was through burial's first
album.
since then i've come to like the following artists and tracks:
starkey
moving ninja
hektagon's "strange voices"
shackleton "el din"
kode 9 "9 samurai"
Larvae "Gigan And The Mysterians"
i also like meat beat manifesto's take on dubstep on most of their
last album.
i did NOT get into the bug or DJ distance...i found them both too much
like real jamaican dub/reggae and too clean in production.
looking forward to your suggestions....artists and/or tracks,
especially those i can get on beatport.
