I really dug Doormouse/Anonymous when they played here (in Iowa City). And Dan seems to have turned into a clean-cut sweetheart! Who knew? Anonymous was amazing. Imagine someone keeping up with 190BPM breraks flipping into hardcore, while keeping up 16th note triplets on the ride cymbal. He did a bit before they really started with a Rashid Ali style free-tempo drumming with timpani sticks that I loved too. And Dan did a bit where he basically bit Jamie Lidell's whole live sampling shtick for a few minutes before jumping head first into gabberish breaky noisecore goodness. Only chumps will miss out on this tour. You know who you are. You chumps. On 5/9/06, John Gulino <jg7ed@virginia.edu> wrote:
