greetings and salutations, IDM headz! any chance one of you guys/gals has an old Denon DN-200F MK III dual CD deck sitting around that you no longer want? i'll pay good money for it. the belts that operate the loading mechanisms broke on mine years ago, and it sat dormant while i was busy not DJing. but life circumstances have changed, and was thinking about dusting off the 1s and 2s (those still work great!) and practicing my skillz. it would be even more fun if i could mix in the digital side of my collection. i opened up the MK III and installed some suitably-sized plumbing o-rings that work great as new belts! i got one side of the deck working, but i carelessly bent some electronic components on the other circuit board, and must have f'd it up. the disc loads and i even made sure the little switch closes to indicate the tray is closed, but the disc still won't spin up! i know, i know: i'm an old fart and nobody plays CDs anymore. i get it. but as the sample goes on the old CD i'm listening to atm, "i can't control my heart." anyway, i'm not serious enough about this to invest BIG money in Serato and new digital hardware. i don't even have a suitable laptop, lol. (and if i spend that big a chunk of my life savings on audio gear, it'll be on additional oscillators and other toys for the Dotcom that a friend and i co-own.) i looked on Ebay, but no dice. i'll continue to keep an eye out there, but I remembered many of you are old farts, too! so, i thought i'd ask if you have the same Denon model. maybe yours is broken, too, but you'd let go of the parts? or maybe you know where else I should look for obsolete DJ equipment. thanks for reading and please n-joy the day! cheers, phase np: alog - "expand the heart" (_red shift swing_)
