I thought IDM being labelled Intelligent Dance Music was a misnomer and
that most in the community agreed it was a toxic way to view the art. As
far as I'm concerned IDM is just that, and doesn't translate to anything
else.
To me IDM is basically jazz electronica, as in, people who were often
classically trained and/or understood music theory and made electronica.
