It's interesting that most of the world saw Bush as a much bigger threat than Saddam. < If Bush is the "biggest war criminal of the 21st century," we should all be thankful to live in such a peaceful world. > Don't worry Bush has lots of plans to make it a less peaceful world. Don't forget the PNAC was written long ago and there are tons of new WMDs being made for the US military. If all goes well, they be plenty of space based weapons soon. If he gets elected (this time) he can start more wars and maybe all these new toys. Like most sequels you need bigger and better effects "Shock And Awe II" should be some light show. < Derrick ought to educate himself as to the true nature of the current world before speaking, should he desire to be taken seriously. > He could certainly rephrase what he said a little better, but I don't think he is that off. I mean we already have two wars and if all goes well they'll be a few more, most likely Syria and Iran. If you pay attention to Bush's boy John Bolton, he seems like he has his eye on many more countries to start a war with. http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2003/07/16/bolton/index_np.html Just because some of the neocons haven't started the other wars yet, don't think they don't have the intentions. < I hope to God that Bush isn't re-elected, I really do. But there is enough bad to say about the man without resorting to exaggeration > Like lost 3 million jobs and $521 billion deficit? Or continually lying and deceiving about everything. Or conducting a foreign policy that has made our country weaker militarily by overextending our forces, over straining our reserves, and driving away our allies. That kind of stuff? That might not be enough to wake people up. What about the 15,000+ innocent civilians in iraq? There's hardly any concern or sympathy from what I've seen. What about 20,000 wounded soldiers (many of them seriously fucked up for life)...on a war based on lies. The media won't cover that, and we've yet to see any on TV, so it's like they don't even exist to the general public. Who knows maybe the Administration will use more scare tactics and orange alerts to try and convince the people that we need Bush. They need to do something otherwise the rich won't their next big tax cut. < Point out why you think he is a piece of shit, in an honest and truthful way, and people will listen. > It too bad the media has largely kept honest people from expressing the truth. Oh, I forgot there were some, but they were labelled anti-american. < Exaggerate and lie, and people will tune you out. > No, I think that has been a successful strategy for many in the corporate news world. Fox news has done an impressive job exaggerate and lying. < People are tuning out. Stop it, for the sake of the country, and the world. > The majority of the people were never tuned in the first place, that's how the Bush Administration has been able to do what they have. So well probably see more cycles where we arm brutal dictators to do our bidding and then when they get out of line claim them to be the new hitler and then blow them away and then off to more arms sales so we can do the whole thing over and over again. --- --- --- --- --- --- This is a good read Bush Family Values: War, Wealth, Oil http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0208-05.htm __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
