Hmmm - 'Frenchy' eh? Well I don't know about that. I liked the vocals on
Colder's album - slight Gallic inflections but essentially a distant and less
psychotic cousin to Suicide's Alan Vega. I worry about the Charles Aznavour/
Sacha Distel connotations. If I could just think Gainsbourg...

Picking up, somewhat contrarily, on that Non-IDM for IDM-y People strand, I'm
catching up on a release from last year - Manual's 'Isares' - which is
similarly not "IDM" and a remote wail from VS, and similarly er... can we still
say 'ambient' these days without a knowingly arched eyebrow?... and likewise
gorgeous.
