Um, no actually. I don't buy stuff off of Ebay 'cause it's kinda evil. OK,
not evil (too strong of a word). But the "value" of everything from
synthesizers and other musical instruments to records and, hell, probably
boxes of Wheaties (with some sports star on them) has been vastly, grossly
inflated now thanks to Ebay and other sites like it. I mean, shit, my ARP
Odyssey cost me about $20 worth of records and a tank of gas. That damn sure
isn't gonna happen now that everybody's got access to all those inflated
values... As for supporting artists, right on. That's another reason I won't
bid on CDs I could very usually go buy stuff from the artist when they play
here (which I always like to do if it's somebody whose music I like); order
from the label (a little less direct) or at the very least support an
independent music retailer. So yeah, auction lists are stupid and I wish
Hotmail had some way to let me block by subject rather than sender.
