I think I'm in the same boat you are. I downloaded a fair amount of
crap a few years ago -- things that got good reviews, people said
that they liked, and gave it a listen. And I didn't like much of any
of it. So I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything, and,
subsequently, have been buying much less music. And downloading even
less. "Ruby Vroom" stays on pretty constant rotation, though...
