if you think that house isn't relevant to IDM, please take a listen to labels like playhouse, classic, perlon, and music for freaks, and artists like matthew herbert, metro area, maurice fulton, luciano, soft pink truth, brooks, et al. there's no reason that house-related discussion has to be taken offlist, and certainly no reason to think that a 4/4 underpinning is somehow "dumber" than all the schizzy-schizzy-scree of IDM.
