Depends on what quote unquote raves you go to really.
Experimental or at least non-mainstream stuff isn't by definition
incompatable with raves, raves just went in a different direction.
Luckily, in the US at least, the non-rave electronic scene has been
building up (at least in my perspective) for the past 4 or so years.
