OK, seriously!!
I am new to the IDM list, so bare with me. My question is this: Is anyone on
this whole damn list being serious? Seems to me that this list is nothing
more than a load of geek sarcasm; then again, maybe that's all we really
are. A bunch of sacastic, bitter, music geeks. I sincerely hope not. I got
into this music because it was uniquely emotive, unlike most electronic
dance music. Is it the "intelligent" factor that is causing all this
sarcasm? Are we all so self-absorbed in are own intellectual world that we
have forgot how to effectively communicate in a positive, interactive
manner. Personally I hate the term "IDM", about as much as I hate the term
"electronica". Is everything else stupid dance music? I preferred it when
the music I loved didn't have a catagory. Does anyone else agree?
