Is our scene "thriving"?
I REALLY don't want to sound troll-ish, but I don't think it is. It's
obvious that there is and will always be great new music out there that's
really pushing new boundaries, but as a scene don't you think things are
sort of stagnant right now? Few labels sell enough to make money, the "IDM"
shows don't seem to be multilying, and collectively we get little to no
press.
What does the list think?
What can we do about it? I'm trying to educate as much as possible here in
NYC, but is that enough?
Curious to hear replies.
