RIEN À VOIR (10) -- December 12 to 15, 2001

4 days, 9 concerts, 24 loudspeakers... The 10th edition of the Rien à
voir festival will happen this very week, from December 12 to 15, 2001,
at the Espace Go. Expect four magical evenings of movies for the ear
and sounds all around your head. An experience at the frontier between
the sublime and the experimental.
As with previous editions, each Rien à voir evening is host to one
electroacoustic composer, who will be present to perform his works.
-- The "carte blanche" (7 PM) has the composer suggest a path of
discovery through the works of other composers (see our web site for a
detailed listing of featured works).
-- Then a "solo" (9 PM) concert features the works of the composer himself.
This year, Rien à voir has commissioned works from five new composers,
which will open certain concerts. There will also be a "Young
composers" concert on Saturday December 15, at 5 PM (see our web site
for the complete details.)

A new addition to Rien à voir, postrien is a series of three late
evening concerts, featuring new electronic music creators and
improvisers in a live setting. This is taking place in the warm, laid
back atmosphere of the Casa del Popolo, right across the street from
Espace Go.
Access to postrien is free to the audience of the day's Rien à voir
(ticket required). Doors will be open all day but the concerts start
around 10:30 PM.
