yeah totally depends what your angle is. scratching playing whatever. techniques 1200s are the standby really but alot of vestax tables are sweet with more features for scratching fun. i have a vestax PDX-2000 but its not cheap. you'll also want a good mixer too. gemini makes a cheap 2 channel one which to start is all u really need, i have a vestax pmc-170a. fun stuff, but again, not the cheapest. really for a dj mixer its all about the crossfader, so you want one with at least one of those. stanton needles are pretty good and the stanton 505 is "best for scratching" according to them anyway. stanton also makes some decent and cheaper tables and mixers. oh its also a consideration that if your going to be doing alot of crate digging thru old scratched up cheap ass records to get some ghetto table from a pawn or garage sale type thing so you dont wreck your good needle on crap records. have fun installing the stylus! http://www.mp3.com/cell
