it, but not nearly enough to get into the top 30. Just curious what it
is about it that gets you going?
Of course, this *is* an amazing record. It would be number one on my list
for this year
I think what does it for me is its seamlessness. Though it pretty much goes
back and forth between a couple of chords for over an hour, the sort of
crunchy organicness (sp?) layered through out is brilliant, not to mention
the bass lines, which sort of grab you and then let you down and
ever-changing. And what is most amazing about Delay, imho, is his
(intentional) building but not climaxing. This leaves the listener on edge
throughout, as one is (as we are trained to do) waiting for the finale. He
sort of creates a style of music living around people. *Us* being the focus.
Which is pretty clear, as his samples and what not seem to take center stage
and the tones and notes just sort of drift in the back ground. One can hear
the sort of clattering of the passer-by, objects being lifted, papers
shuffled, etc.
I think, and hate to use this work, that Anima is a very *important* record.

Considering what else is going on behind the *cheesy synth tone* I think it
is quite intentional, it's not a bad call on his "patch" selection.
