Seriously, the price is worth it. It's an amazingly comprehensive package.
Unless you grab one of the really crappy pdfs floating around the warez scene, you will need the manual.
2.3 is cd protected (will ask for cd every so often. v.hard to copy cd)
3.0 is dongle protected.
$75 seems unbelievable.
Be warned if you are buying a second hand copy of 2.3 that the previous owner may have upgraded to 3.0, so you won't be able to... Native Instruments have a service where you can check if a licence has been upgraded or not.
Audio mulch is ok.... but not a patch on Reaktor in my humble opinion....
