The kid spatula is great if you like µ-ziq, as it does, in my opinion, sound
very much like a remix album of his other stuff, and you often hear hints of
melodies and beats from other tracks of his (and mr james, see that "full
sunken breaks" is reminicent of "the garden of linmiri") loads of nice
tunes.
It also holds a feeling of a nice sort of compilation of the various sounds
of planet µ, going from the nicely melodic tim tetlow style "nordy" and
"another fresh style", to the frenzied hardcore hellfish sounds of "hard
love" and "xxx", to the just plainly wacky sounds like "hill street blues".
Lovely. Venetian snares is also very good.
