The 'last page of the internet' originally started as a joke that was
blanket-emailed to everyone on AOL at the time when AOL users were appearing
in long established Usenet forums saying things like 'I've been online for 6
whole weeks and you know nothing'. Before AOL the worst month to be on the
Internet was September, because that was when the new college intake would
discover the internet and ask questions like 'Can someone tell me how to
find porn? I'm in dorm 12'.
