well, technically it's not a conspiracy, but...
Does anyone else suspect that the guy who sidelined
the list into a rabid debate on the merits of rap in
the midst of a thread on the new Aphex Twin album did
that just to prevent an annoying baseless flame war
over the relative merits of "wacky" windowlicker era
twin vs. hardcore earlier twin. (i love both, for your
info.)
The thing that tipped me off to this was that the dude
complained about how shallow rap was, talking about
bitches and money and drugs... and then listed EASY-E
as one of the rappers he liked back in the day. EASY
fricken E!!!
(For those who don't know, Easy E was a founding
member of NWA, and his solo albums are all about
bitches and drugs, etc. This is the guy who said "i
may be a woman beater but i ain't no pussy eater"
(which makes him a loser twice over in my eyes))
I know, i know, that post was about a week ago, but
it's stuck in my head, and i just had to post this to
get it off my chest.
