See, that's the thing: those beats could have been good WITHOUT NSync. Yet the producer couldn't make it on his own, for whatever reasons, and decided instead to sell out to the popculture machine. I just saw the video an hour or two ago. Lots of VST trickery nonsense going on; whatever. It's still a horrid pop song, and all the IDMishness in the world is not going to make me like a wretched, contrived boy band -- I don't care if Richard Damn James his self does a remix, it's crap culture for crap people. A good song is a good song whether it's done on a synth or a psaltery - and this is not a good song. As Henry Fool said: There's no accounting for taste.
