Actually... Not all, but most IDM shows/parties I have been to in LA particularly the ELM (www.elmconceptions.com) ones have people completely go off dancing. And its the greatest thing ever, because you can tell that everyone is so into the music. Not so in San Francisco, at least from my experience... It's hard to dance to some stuff because there is so much variation, so many layers and texture... in order to grasp the whole thing you need to be very still and just listen. I love people who get all crazy and do the robot or hop around or headbang (Kid606 show in SF).
