This was sort of talked about on the list a couple weeks ago (although it
may have been the ambient list) and as a direct result of this I purchased a
pair of Binaural Headphone-Mounted mics at

My first attempt at a field recording went very bad. I took my dog for a
walk along the beach and brought the recorder with me - thought I'd get some
nice recordings of the ocean and birds etc.
The recording came out terrible though - sounded more like I stuck the mic
*inside* the water. Completely distorted...
Anyone have suggestions for a better method of field recording or where I
may have gone wrong?
