You know, I think Joy Division's influence can definately be heard throughout
idm. I'm not sure if its something that is directly traceable but they mood and
atmosphere that they created shines through on alot of modern music. I have
a Warsaw(pre-joy division) disc where there is a track that was pretty much
just synth and drum-machine, that if you weren't told ahead of time who it
was, it could be passed off as the newest lo-fi signing to skam.
