With the assumption of 4/4 comes the assumption of narcotics.
If you're trying to make the argument that drug use is somewhat prevalent
among listeners of trance or loopy utilitarian dance techno, than I'd be
happy to hear your argument.
But this generalized, blanket statement is completely off the mark when you
consider that about 98% of the music fo any genre is in 4/4 time, be it IDM,
rock, jazz, pop, blues.
