plus most digital transfers are not sample accurate meaning you don't get the same square wave on the transfer..if you zoom in to the wave level on the original then on the transfer..many times they don't have the same zero crossings...so things get rearrangeed a little...but this is really nit picky for most people....it sounds the same. analogue means analogous...its's a wave that represents the original signal..not a bunch of steps that come close to the original wave (signal)...if you can go analog somewhere in the recording process you should. but is anyone on this list using a tape machine..other than a four track? I'd love to hear about your results inany case.
