i thought it was absolutely amazing. i was just sitting in the corner, alone
;(, for a while at least, during the more minimal parts of his set just
listening. closing my eyes and thinking about it.. hmm.. anyway i really
liked the first half of his set, it's much better than the more beaty stuff
he was playing. it was just flowing textures with just bass thumps that
shook your whole body.. hmm.. i agree about the trendy hoxtonites; altho you
probably meant me >? i hope not...
as for his kit i did have a quick peak at what he was doing. he was using a
pc notebook, mixer, a sampler type thing err the one with the big buttons
that light up red and some fx i think... hmm, yeah and he was rocking in is
own little world... nodding along. he looked quite sweaty atch...
plastic people seems like a realy nice venue, the sound was a lot better
than other places in london. i'd like to see more stuff there so i might go
along to balance soon and on monday they have richard devine and phoenecia
which should be good...
other idm in london next week: tuesday DAT politics & antenna farm @
smallfish records... feedback@smallfish.co.uk
also is there a live electronic music rescource for london/uk.. if not i
might start one.. not enough time at the minute, but when i start uni in
october it should be fine,... anyway if anyone has any ideas/wants to help
give us a shout...
