"Telstar" is one of the Ventures' (surf rock band) biggest hits. Joe Meek
was a British producer of wall-of-sound style 60's surf rock or something,
and I believe the original writer of "Telstar". He also shot his landlady
and himself in a "going-out-in-a-blaze-of-glory" ending to his career.
