Fuck, this is indeed great news. I can imagine this being a far more succesful amalgam of styles than, say, Ko Wreck Technique. Who's John Herndon though? I had a brief squizz at www.heftyrecords.com to see if he was one of that lot, but couldn't find his name amongst the artist pages. BTW, the irony of dissing a label (Mulsanta's comments re: Anticon) for being run by internet nerds and middle-class white kids on IDM is pretty hefty :-) I appreciate it's not your thing (and for the most part it's not mine) but isn't it as conceivable that their idea of a decent flow is as far from trad hip-hop as your average IDM groove might be from any of the things IDM artists developed from?
