very good arguments either way...soft vs hardware.
i find, in my studio at least...a combination of digital, be it sampler,
softsynth or analog emulation...analog, synths or filterbanks, effects
etc...is the best combination.
what software has going for it is cost, it is much much cheaper to get
software than hardware, most of the time you can get it for free.
in a live situation hardware wins hands down, it is much more flexible to
use hardware live vs software.
