whassup everybody, a question from the relative vinyl newbie that i am (child of the cd era): how many times can i expect to play through a record, given relatively good care, before i'll start to hear any actual degradation in the sound? i'm really wondering if i should just toss a copy of everything i have on vinyl to tape or just throw caution to wind and spin my rekkids all i want. idm note: just got the new wagon christ in the mail. review forthcoming, but it's totally dope. not likely to displace amon tobin's record as my fave thus far in 98, but a definite keeper. non-idm note: anybody heard the black eyed peas joint? between the commotion about the blackstar record (worth it) and the tribe album (totally not worth it) i haven't heard much about these guys. i really dig the two tracks i've heard though...opinions?
