this is NOT the "i can't afford it" arguement, and I am not suggesting
that Mp3 sites are justified by record companies massive price hikes. i
am saying if the record companies are going to rain on our parade of
Mp3s, why should we stay silent on the issue of ridiculous prices?

it's not "just the mechanics," it's PROFIT. Mechanics cannot raise the
price of a CD ten dollars, i refuse to believe that.
