From what I gather, Distance is a European (French?) label set up by Tower
Records (!). They did a bunch of bad comps, and a slew of R&S titles (both
69 CD's among others). I know that for a while, the R&S licensed titles
were only available in Towers, in fact they were a required buy by each
store's respective import buyer. The whole deal is fairly offensive. They
are cheap, though. Full lengths are about $15 POP stateside. Sounds like
the kind of thing those of us who have any sort of anti-corporate sentiment
should boycott. Otherwise, they're exactly the same as the R&S versions and
a good deal. -Keith
