Don't know if this is the correct answer, but until recently the 'slash
from left to right' slogan on Designers Republic work usually appeared in
conjunction with a bar code. Thus I always presumed that it alluded to the
fact that bar codes read left to right. Whether they actually do or not,
however, I've no idea. And of course, the slogan now appears on the new
T-shirts alongside the logoman design so hey, who knows?
That's my guess.
