This record is so dated it's pathetic. It was great at the time but I
think it only gets onto lists like these out of sheer reputation at
this point. The skits (that seem to take up about half the record) are
embarrassing, and most of the sampling is really forced. It's the sort
of record that lots of people own, but only listen to once a year, if that.

Whatever.... I Listened to this album for the first time in a while a couple
a days of ago. This album is CLASSIC. It stands the test of time and will
be remembered along with 'de la soul is dead' as huge building blocks in the
foundation of hip hop and as influence to countless amounts of people(luke
vibert seems to come in mind).
The sampling seems pretty good to me. They do use a lot of familiar samples
but its not like puff daddy or anything(good use of collage werk to my ears
for 89).
